Cooperstown Graduate Program

Cooperstown Graduate Program

Since 1964, The New York State Historical Association has enjoyed a dynamic and innovative collaboration with the State University of New York College at Oneonta to co-sponsor the Cooperstown Graduate Program in History Museum Studies.

The program brings prospective curators, educators, and administrators from around the world to Cooperstown for two years of intensive study and training and is recognized as one of the top programs of its kind in the United States. Students are involved in all aspects of the Association’s operation, and leave with a Master of Arts degree from one of the most prestigious programs of its type in the country. At present there are more than 700 CGP alumni working in museums and historical agencies in the United States and abroad.
