The learning experiences provided in these published curricula are designed to prepare fourth-grade students to use primary source material to create an interpretive essay. These learning experiences were designed with support for students and teachers. Students are provided with many opportunities to practice by comparing and contrasting, interpreting and combining facts and observations from a variety of documents.
